The 411
In November 2006, Bradford Anderson joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as the quirky Damien Spinelli. Born and raised in Meredith, New Hampshire, Anderson's mother encouraged both he and his sister, Jennifer, to get involved in theater. Anderson's first role was at the age of 6 as Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol as a part of a professional theater company. In 1998, Anderson graduated from high school and went on to attend the Tisch School of Performing Arts at New York University. Following his graduation from NYU, Anderson joined The Philadelphia Theater Company, where he won the prestigious Philly Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Billy in Edward Albee’s The Goat ...Or Who Is Sylvia? opposite John Glover. He went on to reprise the role at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. His musical experience includes playing the lead role of Valentine in the Goodspeed Opera House’s revival of Babes In Arms and Arpad in She Loves Me. Upon moving to California in 2005, Anderson landed his first TV job within weeks and has happily called himself a working actor ever since.

—At NYU, he spent his summer theater program living with 30 people in one house!. They'd rehearse all day, do a show, and then party all night.
—Is not a computer whiz like Spinelli, but does claim to be quite a good typist.
—Was voted "Best Singer," "Most Dramatic," and "Most Likely to Succeed" by his high school classmates.
—Favorite comfort food is thin-crust pizza.
—Upon moving to L.A., he often housesat for one of his N.Y.U. schoolmates, Kristen Bell.
—Changed his professional name from Brad Anderson to Bradford Anderson because there was already a Brad Anderson registered with the Actors' Equity union. Anderson claims, "He's a Fosse dancer [on Broadway] and much better-looking, so I figured I should start a whole new identity."

MEMORABLE QUOTES
"A cross between Spicoli from Fast Times At Ridgemont High and Seth Green." — How the character of Spinelli was first described to him, Soap Opera Digest, 3/13/07
"I have always called myself the most unlikely soap actor. When I met my manager, I was in New York and we were talking about me moving to LA. He had just signed a male model, and they were discussing getting him on soaps. I jokingly said, 'What do you think of me being on a soap?' Everyone in the room laughed." — Soap Opera Weekly, 3/27/07
"I'm not a big a dork as I look." — Weekly, 6/26/07
"[Fans] don’t want to take me to bed. They just want to hug me and maybe give me a noogie." — Digest, 7/24/07
YOU SHOULD HEAR WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT YOU!
"I think the character of Spinelli, if it wasn’t [played by] Bradford], would have never worked. He brings something totally new to the show. The fact that he's a talented actor helps immensely. The kid's full of energy! We improv a lot. We have fun. I tell him 'I'm being paid not to laugh at you,' which is difficult a lot of times because he is so funny that I want to bust out laughing. But I can't! The writers found something there that was interesting and it works. We're Laurel and Hardy."— Steve Burton (Jason, GH), Soap Opera Digest, 2007
