In Tabitha's kitchen, a confused Miguel tried to make sense of how he'd been sent to the Dark Side. He recalled Kay and Tabitha shooting lightning bolts out of their hands and accused them of being evil. He then concluded that they're witches. Tabby and Kay argued that he was suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome, but he didn't believe it. Kay wanted to tell him the truth, but Tabitha urged her not to. Miguel then had a flashback of his time in "hell," which basically involved him and Endora sitting in front of a blue screen with flames projected onto it. Finally, Kay gave in and confessed that they're witches. Miguel blamed them for all of the bad things that had happened in Harmony over the years and stormed out. Ouch! Later, Miguel returned and declared his love for Kay. They began kissing and Endora conjured up some fireworks over their heads. Awww!

As she anticipated celebrating New Year's Eve by herself, Esme read a magazine and tried to come up a new hobby. Fancy then revealed that she and Luis reunited. Esme wasn't sure she should trust Luis, but Fancy wanted to believe his explanations for why he'd slept with Pretty and Sheridan. Still, Fancy admitted that she did have some questions about Luis's odd behavior. Esme revealed her plan to date evil people, so the person who's killing her lovers would murder someone worth getting rid of. "Too bad you can't date Sheridan," sighed Fancy. Fancy invited her out, but Esme turned her down. "I don't want to watch the Rose Parade with a dead man in my bed," she sighed. Fancy was about to leave when Alistair arrived and taunted her about Luis sleeping with the other two women. Fancy concluded that Alistair was just jealous of her because he'd never experienced true love. Esme decided to seduce Alistair so she could put her "get the evil guys killed" plan into action.

In the Lopez-Fitzgerald home, Luis, Sheridan and Marty cuddled up in front of the TV like a family. Marty hoped they'd be together forever, and Sheridan assured him they would be. After Marty went to sleep, Sheridan invited Luis to stay, but he turned her down, explaining he had plans with Fancy. Alone, Sheridan blamed Fancy for taking Luis away from her son. Guess "together forever" meant "joined at the hip 24/7" in Sheridan's world. Later, Alistair paid Sheridan a visit and taunted her about being alone for New Year's.... Luis and a tearful Fancy met up at the Blue Note. She admitted how hurt she was that he kept the news of Marty being alive from her. Luis explained that they'd never see Marty if Alistair had heard about it. Fancy misunderstood this to mean that he didn't trust her. He further explained that Sheridan made him keep it secret.

Alistair returned home and found a scantily-clad Esme waiting for him in his room. He eagerly kissed his surprise guest, while she tried not to react with disgust... Sheridan vowed to win Luis back.... At the club, Fancy forgave Luis and they shared a dance. Luis then got a frantic call from Marty and Sheridan, who begged him to come home. After she hung up, Sheridan gloated about getting Luis to leave Fancy for the evening. Fancy sadly rang in the new year alone.

Theresa lamented having so many problems with Ethan. To her surprise, Pilar encouraged her to spend New Year's with Ethan. Theresa hoped they could work things out. Later, she and Ethan met up at the Blue Note. He complained that she's been shutting him out of her life, and she apologized. She pleaded with him to spend the evening with her. He agreed and they shared a romantic dance. Theresa later rushed out when Pilar called to tell her that Little Ethan had a high fever. Ethan wondered why she suddenly ditched him. At home, Pilar informed Theresa that Little E was in fact okay, but that more family members had been killed by Juanita.

At the Crane mansion, Esme "seduced" Alistair, but tried to keep him from actually touching her. She hoped the person who kept killing her lovers would off him first. Later, Esme emerged from the bathroom wearing a black slip dress and a red boa, and did a little striptease for him. He was eager to get started, but she urged him to be patient, comparing herself to a well-known entertainment figure. Al accused her of stalling and noted that everyone she sleeps with gets killed. Esme insisted that she wasn't trying to get him killed, but he didn't believe her. He then shoved her so hard she fell to the ground. Meanwhile, the killer lurked outside the room brandishing a knife. Al kneeled over an unconscious Esme, planning to have his way with her. The attacker then tossed in the knife from the doorway so that it landed right in Alistair's back. Al struggled to stand up and turned toward the mystery person. "You!" he grumbled.
br> At the Blue Note, Fancy broke down in tears after Luis suddenly left her alone. She feared that because she didn't ring in the new year with someone, it would mean she'd be alone for the year. Fancy desperately tried to reach him, but had no luck. Meanwhile, Luis hurried home after receiving a frantic call from Marty and Sheridan, and was relieved to see they were both fine. Sheridan stated that Marty was suffering from "separation anxiety," and requested that Luis stay with them round the clock. When Luis declared that to be impossible, Sheridan turned on the waterworks. Fancy finally got through to someone from Crane's security team and learned that Luis was with Sheridan. Later, Fancy stopped by the cabin and was devastated to see Luis hugging Sheridan.

Theresa was upset that Pilar called her away from ringing in the new year with Ethan, but was determined to salvage the evening. As soon as Theresa left her home, she found Ethan waiting for her by her doorstep. He demanded to know why she'd suddenly ditched him at the club. He accused her of meeting up with another date. She gave a lame explanation that she was afraid to have a good evening with him since every time they celebrated a happy occasion, something bad happened. Ethan understood and assured her that she wouldn't lose him. They then enjoyed a cute mock countdown so they could celebrate the new year together.

At the hospital, Gwen was also angry that she and Jonathan had spent New Year's Eve without Ethan. Rebecca informed her that she'd heard through a bartender at the Blue Note that Ethan and Theresa were there, but that Theresa had suddenly left. Rebecca warned Gwen that Theresa might finally give in and tell Ethan that he's Little Ethan's father. Later, Gwen interrupted Ethan and Theresa when she came over and tried to guilt-trip him into seeing Jonathan. Ethan promised to see him the next day. Gwen then insinuated that Theresa is cheating on him.

Pilar worked on her computer alone and panicked when she heard a noise. It was Rebecca, who entered and threatened to tell Juanita where Pilar is living.

At the cabin, Gwen again insinuated to Ethan that Theresa is cheating on him. Theresa denied it, but they then heard a noise; Ethan automatically assumed that Theresa's other man was there. Also at the cabin, Rebecca warned Pilar that she'd tell Juanita where Pilar is living. Ethan wanted to break down the door, but Theresa stopped him so that he wouldn't realize that Little Ethan is "the other man." Ethan concluded that Theresa is indeed cheating on him and became angry. Meanwhile, Pilar and Rebecca struggled to keep Ethan from finding out they were in there with Little E. Gwen stated that there was another man in the bedroom. Of course, Ethan believed her. Theresa was forced to "admit" that there was another man in there. Ethan was furious. Gwen was thrilled and happily followed Ethan out of the cabin. After, Theresa broke down in her mother's arms.

Kay and Miguel made out in her room. She used magic to conjure up a couple of things that would make the setting more romantic. She was thrilled to have him back home and looked forward to marrying him. However, Miguel still had issues with the whole witch thing. Kay accused him of being prejudiced and explained that she can't change who she is. He asked her to stop using her powers. Kay argued that she can use her magic to make their life better, but he just wanted a "normal" life. Kay agreed to give up magic for him. Miguel then asked if their daughter was also a witch, but Kay said she didn't know. Miguel hated the idea that Maria could be one.

In the Crane manse, a stabbed Alistair threatened to make his attacker pay. Meanwhile, an unconscious Esme awakened. A little later, Sam arrived to arrest Al for murdering Chad and attacking Esme, but when he turned Crane around to cuff him, he spied the, well, big knife jutting out of his back. "I think I'm dying here," Al groaned. "You look healthy to me," replied Sam. Sam then got out a handkerchief so he could remove the knife. Esme winced as Aistair yelped. Sam noted that it looked like a flesh wound. He then stuck his hand in the gaping hole — obviously getting pleasure out of hurting Alistair. Esme accused Sam of being sadistic. Sam finally summoned a doctor. Esme wondered where Sam suddenly appeared from; he explained that someone from the staff called him to tell him that Al was there, so Sam decided to arrest him. Sam assumed that Esme had stabbed him in self-defense, but Alistair said that it wasn't her. Sam then asked if Al had tried to rape her, but she denied it. Alistair refused to say who stabbed him. Viki arrived and Sam questioned her about the attacker; she kept mum ... as usual. Later, Alistair had a flashback to when he was stabbed, and it turned out that Viki was the culprit!
