Paloma told Noah to leave. Noah vowed not to give up on her. Noah couldn't get the window washer's bucket to move. Paloma told him go away ASAP. Just then the bucket gave way and dropped to the ground. Paloma screamed and looked on in horror. So, too, did Kay from Tabitha's magic bowl. "Noah, you can't be dead!" cried Paloma. Just then Noah woke up, and realized he was still okay. Paloma warned him not to move because his scaffold was dangling by a thread. The demon elf tried to will the cable to snap. Paloma stepped out onto the ledge to help. She grabbed the rope and used the pulley to lift Noah's scaffold back up to the window. Noah urged her to be careful with the rope. Expecting the worst, Noah told Paloma he has a confession to make...he loves one woman and there's no room in his heart for anyone else. Paloma thought Noah was referring to Fancy. Reluctantly, Kay relented and allowed Tabitha to use her magic to save Noah. "This woman is you, Paloma," Noah declared. "I don't want to live in a world where you don't love me," he claimed while Paloma kept struggling to save him. Once Kay heard that she changed her mind about using magic to save Noah, and said that Paloma needs to save Noah on her own so that their love and relationship can be spared as well. Using all her might, Paloma managed to pull Noah to the brink of safety. Kay watched and concluded that magic isn't needed where there is love. Just then, the demon elf used his magic to snap the final rope just before Paloma could pull Noah into the window. Paloma screamed in horror as Noah dropped again.

In Mexico, Ethan and Theresa enjoyed a warm reunion. In contrast, Ethan lambasted Gwen for her and Rebecca's machinations, and declared they were out of his life for good. "I can't believe I ever thought I loved you," Ethan barked at Gwen. Ethan vowed to get full custody of Jonathan and have Gwen declared an unfit mother. "You and your mother are going to pay for what you've done," added Luis, who phoned the Mexican authorities to come arrest Juanita and Gwen. "This isn't over, Pilar," Juanita seethed. Pilar told Gwen she made a fatal error by underestimating the power of love. Gwen looked on as Ethan and Theresa kissed fast and furiously in a passionate embrace. Theresa then woke up on another section of the wharf, alone. Her reunion with Ethan had all been a dream. In reality, Pilar gave Ethan, Luis and company the Cliffs Notes version of what happened to them. Theresa got up and staggered over to them. She ran up to Ethan to give him a hug but hugged the air right through him, as Ethan appeared not to even notice her. Kay and Tabitha watched this through their bowl. Tabitha explained to a horrified Kay that it means Theresa is dead. She was unable to touch or speak to anyone, including Gwen and Juanita. The Mexican authorities arrived and showed Theresa's family something to confirm her death. The authorities believed she died from shark attacks. Ethan insisted that she might still be alive since no body was found. Pilar broke down and blamed herself for Theresa's death — and Juanita. Theresa looked on in despair as she was unable to get any of her loved ones to notice her.

Ivy massaged Sam, and her rubbing became more and more violent as she thought of Theresa and Ethan getting back together. Sam received a call from the Mexican police reporting that Pilar and Theresa were in danger. Ivy wondered if Pilar's secret had come out and blamed Theresa for dragging Pilar to Mexico in the first place. Sam informed her that the police also told him Theresa was dead. Ivy felt terrible about thinking such harsh thoughts about Theresa and said she never really wished her dead. She asked Sam if he'd ever forgiven her for putting Grace in danger. He said he does forgive her and understands why she did it. They declared their love for each other and he vowed to never let her go. After they made love, Ivy and Sam resumed talking about Theresa and Ethan's love. Ivy suggested that Ethan raise Little Ethan, but Sam wanted Ethan to make his own choices, even if they included getting back together with Gwen. "She'd never hurt him," Ivy pointed out.

Still invisible, Theresa begged Ethan to look at her, while Ethan vowed that he would take care of her family in her absence. Although Pilar still hadn't outed Gwen as Theresa's blackmailer, Juanita warned Gwen that she's already lost Ethan to a ghost. Ethan told Luis and Miguel that there's still a chance Theresa could be alive. Luis reminded him that there were so many rips in the shirt Theresa was wearing that it's hard to believe she survived a shark attack. Ethan asked Juanita what she knows, so Juanita suggested he seek an explanation from Gwen. Ethan told Juanita not to blame someone else and says he witnessed her fire a rocket at Pilar and Theresa's boat. Gwen looked pretty nervous even though she'd just dodged a bullet. Ethan wanted to go look for Theresa's body so that he could accept her death. Juanita laughed at him and said Theresa was already shark food.

Paloma called out to Noah and feared he did not survive the fall. She crumpled into a heap in the office and began to cry, just as Noah miraculously climbed up the wall. "I still love you," she was saying when he crawled through the window. He explained that he jumped onto a ledge while the scaffolding was falling and only had to climb a few flights to get back up. He said coming that close to death was worth it if it meant they were together, but Paloma shook her head, saying they'd never be together again. "Nothing's changed," she declared. Noah asked why they can't be together if she loves him, and she pointed out that Fancy broke up with him because she didn't trust Noah. She reminded Noah that his mom died because of Ivy and that adultery had torn Harmony apart. Paloma didn't want any part of it, but Noah insisted that she can trust him. Nevertheless, Paloma told him it's over and walked out.

Miguel, Luis and Ethan went off to look for Theresa and saw nothing telltale around the place where her blouse was found. Ethan said he felt her presence, while invisible Theresa started to wonder if she was really dead. She touched his stomach and he had the strangest feeling that she was nearby. Ethan asked Luis and Miguel for some time alone so he could privately say good-bye to Theresa. He talked of their first meeting, when she poured paint on him, and how she made him want to be a better man. He even promised to raise Little Ethan without her.

Meanwhile, Juanita offered to stay quiet if Gwen untied her. Gwen wouldn't let Juanita manipulate her but Juanita said she'd deliver on her promise and gave her specific instructions that she claimed would serve them both in the end. Luis and Miguel wondered if there was more to the story than what Pilar gave them. Ethan said good-bye to Theresa at the docks and said he'd love her forever. As Theresa said she'd love him forever, too, a white light opened from the night sky and began to take Theresa away.

In Mexico, Ethan, Luis and Miguel lamented the loss of Theresa. Luis vowed to find out why Juanita was after his family; Ethan was devastated that the love of his life was gone forever. Meanwhile, Juanita assured Gwen she was a woman of her word and begged to be untied, reminding Gwen of the consequences if she didn't: Juanita would go to prison for killing Pilar's relatives and Gwen would not only lose Ethan forever, but also go to jail for blackmail. Gwen reluctantly agreed when Miguel, Luis and Ethan suddenly walked in; Gwen covered. Then Pilar also entered, claiming she was too upset to sleep and asked about Vanessa. Miguel broke the news that they couldn't find her and Theresa was gone. Gwen assured a still tied-up Juanita that she'd come up with a plan to get them out of their current pickle.

Later, the search for Theresa was called off and she was declared dead. An outraged Pilar vowed to seek revenge on Juanita and anyone who helped her, of course.... Ethan called Gwen out on being happy that Theresa was dead, but she denied it. Meanwhile, Pilar faced off against Juanita who threatened to kill every member of Pilar's family to avenge Carlos' death.

Sheridan promised Marty that he shouldn't be afraid of his daddy marrying mean Fancy, assuring him that they were going to be a family again after Luis returned from Mexico. Meanwhile, Pretty brought her sis (who was resting on the couch) a cup of tea. Fancy was clearly confused about her behavior and marveled at how crazy she'd been acting lately. Pretty grinned as she flashed back to manipulating her sis with the controller, then fibbed that she thought it must just be stress. Pretty feigned concern and offered Fancy support while thinking snarky comments of revenge to herself. She talked Fancy out of going to see a doctor, suggesting yoga to relax instead.

Sheridan and Marty were stunned to find Fancy in the den. She tried to apologize for losing control earlier and attempted to mend fences with Marty, but he was still freaked out by her and clutched onto Sheridan, who wasn't buying the "I'm sorry" bit. Pretty grabbed for the controller, snickering that it was the perfect time for an encore performance, but she fumbled and Sheridan saw. Marty picked up the controller from the floor, much to Pretty's chagrin. Turns out, the kid mistook the controller for a video game remote so he turned on the TV, punched some buttons and started to play while (surprise, surprise) Fancy began feeling funny again and lost control of her arm. She took a swing at Sheridan and rammed herself face-first into a wall as Pretty watched on in amusement. Sheridan, meanwhile, was incredibly confused.

Back in Mexico, Luis was overcome with guilt about not saving Theresa; Miguel tried to relate. Luis got a call that Fancy had come to see him but was surprised when he opened the door. Meanwhile at the docks, Pilar informed Gwen, Ethan and Miguel that the truth about her past (the reason why Juanita was involved in Theresa's death) would be revealed...tonight!
